The move to electric vehicles brings unique challenges for CAE engineers. This also brings new opportunities to optimize old practices. This is particularly true for the topic of vibration fatigue. Electrification brings new failure modes to consider, new materials to work with, and new manufacturing processes to address. There is also a need to reconsider the inputs to fatigue analysis and possibly build new vibration profiles from test data.
This presentation will focus on solving these problems using vibration fatigue in the frequency domain. We will take a wide perspective to make sure we understand the inputs, assumptions, analysis, and results of vibration fatigue. We will also be addressing ways that we can approach correlation with test results. nCode has tools to address challenges at every step of this process.
