When designing a product, it’s important to understand the environment in which the product will be used, as this will strongly influence necessary design choices. A common method for understanding the usage environment is through the use of data acquisition hardware to record relevant time-varying signals such as accelerations, strains, and forces that the product is subjected to. Digital Signal Processing (DSP) refers to the manipulation and transformation of these signals through computational processing operations in order to extract and gain deeper insight than that provided in the original signals alone. This webinar will introduce and illustrate several basic DSP concepts and nCode software will be used to demonstrate various applications of these concepts.
