Product support changes for BK Connect:

Microsoft .NET 7.0, previously used in Team Server, is now out of support. Therefore, Team Server has been upgraded to use .NET 8.0 to ensure continued performance, security, and stability.

The updated Team Server installer will automatically install .NET 8.0 on your machine, if it is not already present.

We highly recommend that all Team Server users upgrade to the latest version.

Thank you for your attention and continued support.

Plotting your own parametric reference curve

BK-Connect-- Parametric-reference-curve-1

In BK Connect 2024.0, reference data defined from measurement data were introduced. This addition meant that you can compare measurement results against a selected reference curve to perform benchmarking, diagnostics or averaging.

Now in version 2024.1, you can do more with reference data: Create FFT curves as you perform measurements and analyses to compare and validate that results are within specific limits or tolerances, for example when running standards-based testing.

You define the parameters including the number of FFT lines, the frequency span, format and interpolation, then plot the FFT curve. You can preview the generation of the curve as you add data points to it.
The generated reference curve is immediately available to use during both measurement and post-processing to visually compare and validate your measurement results.

  • dB reference values are definable when selecting units for physical quantities.
  • Define reference data in the project for comparison. You can then select a reference curve to overlay measurement results for benchmarking, diagnostics and averaging.

    • Import selected data to be used as the reference data.

    • Identify data within the project to be used as the reference data.

    • Create your own user-defined FFT spectra to be used as the reference data.

  • Real-time Team Server status and health details are now provided to client apps, such as BK Connect and the Team Server Web App.

  • Dataset 164 is now auto-enabled when exporting to a universal file format.

  • Updated Team Server, Team Server 2.0, which brings important improvements focusing on enhanced messaging and services resilience.

  • Improved fast displays.

  • Improved support of hydrophones with user-defined dB references, where you can use the physical quantity as a condition for selecting the dB reference. This allows you to differentiate between, for example µPa with a sound pressure signal and µPa for sound pressure in water using a hydrophone.

  • The functionality previously only available in a Type 8400 B license has now been moved to the base Data Viewer Type 8400 license. This means you only need Type 8400 for:
  • File import of any format used natively by HBK applications, as well as universal files: *.unv, *.uff (time and function data) and wave files: *.wav (time data)

    • Import from LabShop and Import from PULSE Data Manager (PDM) tasks

    • Export to PDM

    • Export to Excel

  • The maximum number of LAN-XI modules that are supported with a Type 8401 license is increased from 2 to 5. As always, two Type 8401 licenses can be stacked together to provide unlimited module access.
  • Improved support for hydrophone calibration.

  • Improved notifications and additional alerts when there are problems loading hardware setups

  • Order Analysis Applet Type 8490-B-N-SYS now supports non-stationary order tracking vs time.
  • The Measurement Matrix in the Standard Measurement task has been revamped giving you a more user-friendly and efficient interface.

  • Improved stability in CPB processing with more consistent linear results.

  • Validate and compare your results as you test with Test-based Viewer.

  • Minor improvements and enhancements including the averaging of FRF measurements in the Record and Process task.

  • Order analysis is now under one license: Type 8405 E.

  • Expanded support of tonal metrics standards for sound quality evaluations using the SQ Metrics and SQ Metrics vs Time process chain elements. Additional support for:

    • DIN 45681 Berichtigung 2:2006-08

    • ISO/TS 20065:2022

    • ISO 1996-2:2017

    • ECMA-418-2

  • Support for NVH models in the ATFX file importer.

  • Support for tyre noise correction according to ISO 362-3:2022, which is the 4-coefficient method, instead of 5, and uses air temperature for corrections.

  • CSV export for any analyzed additional signals, in addition to the pass-by signals.

  • A user-defined high-pass filter is now available for pre-processing of time signals for shock response spectrum (SRS) calculation in the Shock Response Analysis application.
  • The Measurement Matrix in the Hammer, Shaker and Stepped Sine Setup and Measurement tasks has been revamped giving you a more user-friendly and efficient interface.

  • Swept sine measurement implemented in the Shaker Setup and Shaker Measurement tasks.

  • Validate and compare your results as you test with the Test-based Viewer in the Modal Analysis application.

  • DOF selection and deselection in a mode table is now reflected in the animation and in the calculated MAC and orthogonality plots and tables.

  • A warning is now shown if a wrong camera driver is used.
  • Support for uEye® camera version 4.96.1

  • Scaling information has been added to exported WAV files

  • BKCCRM-980: Enhancement: Order Analysis Applet Type 8490-B-N-SYS now supports non-stationary order tracking vs time.
  • Shock Response Analysis - BKCCRM-1317: Enhancement: A user-defined high-pass filter is now available for pre-processing of time signals for shock response spectrum calculation.

  • Time ODS - BKCCRM-1369: Fixed: Dwell animation buttons have been reintroduced in the Geometry panel and the potential erroneous state of doing dwell and sweep animation at the same time has been prevented.

  • Improved status messaging when updating firmware in the Front-end Setup program.
  • Support to add correction curves for some of the newer Brüel & Kjær® transducers.

  • CSV reports from PULSE Front-end Setup's Stability Monitoring has been improved.

  • A security upgrade for the license tool, FlexLM toolkit

  • Support for new standard R138-02, a UNECE standard for quiet road transport vehicles
  • Support for tyre noise correction according to ISO 362-3 2022, which is the 4 coefficient method instead of 5 and uses air temperature for correction.

  • New in OMA: Improved analysis can now be performed on transient data in the frequency domain using the FDD and EFDD algorithms. Setting the new OMA Testing Type parameter to Single Impulse Input, allows the use of exponential weighting of the response signals before the spectral density calculations.
  • New in the SHM modules: Several instances of the same damage detection algorithm can now be performed within the same project. This reduces the probability of false alarms by defining the reference model differently for the different instances.

  • New product: Structural Health Monitoring Pack Type BZ‑8553‑S containing the following software:

    • BZ-8550 PULSE Data Manager Base Module for OMA Pro

    • BZ-8551 PULSE Automatic File Upload Module for OMA Pro

    • BZ-8552 PULSE Modal Parameters History Module for OMA Pro
